Wedding Icicle Lights

Have you ever seen those pictures on Pinterest of lights under head tables at weddings. Well, we are here to tell you what you need to get that look. Icicle light strings. It really is that simple.

These classic icicle Christmas light strings aren't just for Christmas anymore. Icicle sets can be found in a variety of counts and styles. You will find green wire and white wire with clear bulbs, as well as styles that will drip or twinkle and even change colors. Even of these selections would be great for lighting tables, tents and chandeliers for your big day.

Lighting under tables is easy. All you have to do is wrap the lights around the underneath of the table and tape or staple them to the bottom. Then place a table cloth over and you have an elegant and glowing wedding decorations.

If you want to light your event tents, all you will have to do is hang the lights around the edges of the tent, just like you hang them along your roofline. It will light up your whole night. They will give a classic and fun look to your party.

If you are more of a DIY bride, then why not make your own chandeliers. All you have to have is a hula hoop, some ribbon, twine and icicle lights. Take your hula hoop and tie 8 pieces of twine around your hula hoop a few inches apart, then pull them up and tie them together so you can hang it. Then put a few dots of glue where you want to start wrapping your ribbon around. Wrap the ribbon all the way around the hoop and glue the end. Then all you have left is wrapping your icicle light string around. Ty using zip ties along the way to help secure your lights. Now plug it up and enjoy.

All of these projects are great for weddings of all types at any time of year. Try them out and see what you think. You can also find our entire selection of icicle light sets here.

Valentine’s Day is upon us and it is time to decide how to decorate this year. Lots of people like to have parties or some type of fun event around Valentine’s Day and there is no better way to decorate than with festive lighting.

Mini Lights - There are so many options for mini lights in colors that will match any Valentine's decor. Using red, pink and white on white wire to light up some of your centerpieces or table settings would be a great touch.

Themed Light Displays - With options like, double hearts, heart with cupid’s arrow and Cupid, you can find things to hang in your windows or even on the walls of a venue for a Valentine’s day party. Fun, festive and simple to install.

Traditional Christmas Light Bulbs - These come in a variety of colors and styles. You can get C7 or C9 bulbs in red, pink and white. These are available in a transparent style or in a opaque style. The opaque style will give you a softer light glow for a more romantic feel.

LED Globe Lights - Like the traditional bulbs, but come in 2 different bulb sizes. These also come in more color options. You can find these in red, pink and white. You could hang them across the ceiling for an outdoor patio look.

Starlight Spheres - These light spheres are just as whimsical and romantic as they sound. The are little balls of light. You could make a cluster of these in different sizes in the corners of your venue. It would be a great background for photos. You can get these in 3 different sizes in red, pink and white.

New S14 and A19 Patio Lights

It is that time again, to start thinking about decorating your outdoor space for the spring and summer months. Since last  year at this time, we have a couple of newer options for patio lighting. With these new options, you have selection for the shape of the bulbs.

A19 Patio Light
One of the options is an A19 bulb. This patio light has a similar look to a traditional light bulb.  A19 lights are 25 watts and are about 2 3/8 inches wide by 4 inches tall from top of bulb to bottom of base. You will get an average of about 3,000 burn hours out of these lights. These are great for using out on a patio for outdoor entertaining. You can get the commercial molded light strings with medium base sockets and hang them easily, almost anywhere.

S14 Patio Light
The other new option is the S14 bulb. This bulb style is a little different commercial molded medium based light line. S14 lights are about 1 3/4 inches wide by 3 1/2 inches tall from top of bulb to bottom of base with an average burn life of about 8,000 hours. With these S14 bulbs, you have more color options, which means you can match these with more of your decor or make your lighting a little more festive if you wish.
than average globe lights or traditional light bulbs. These also come with a medium base that will work perfectly with the

Either way you choose, A19 or S14 bulbs, you cannot go wrong. These lights are great not only for lighting your backyard patio, but also for restaurants and bars, weddings and other outdoor events. You can even  use them for other lighting projects, like making carnival or movie theater style signs. Hanging and decorating with these lights will be a breeze and it will look great for every occasion.

Black Out Caps

Have you ever stood back from your outdoor holiday decorations and thought to yourself, "I wish there wasn't all those bulbs hanging down from that window." I think just about anyone that has ever decorated something with mini lights has had that thought. But we have a great solution for that exact problem.

Black out caps are little plastic covers that slide right onto a mini light bulb. This way you can hide all those pesky extra lights that hang down when you plug your lights up. You never even notice them when you turn your lights on in the evening. This will give you decorating a much cleaner and even professional look.

We also have color caps. These will change any clear mini light to a different color. If you have a display or another decoration that needs clear and color mini lights on the same string, this will work perfectly. You just choose the color you need and slide it on you mini light bulb.

It is that simple.

DIY Tinsel Wreath

Tinsel and fairly lights turned into a holiday wreath. It doesn't get more festive than that. This very simple and inexpensive DIY project will be a great addition to your holiday decor.

All you are going to need is some tinsel in the color of your choice and battery LED lights to match, masking tape and a foam wreath. Some of these item might even be laying around from some old decorations that don't get used anymore.

Lay down your foam wreath and decide where you want the lights to start and end. The ending point will need to be in the back at either the top or the bottom, to keep it hidden and secure. Start taping your lights down and continue to wrap them all the way around the wreath, taping as you go.

Next you can start wrapping your tinsel around the wreath, starting where you started your  battery light string. Be sure to adjust your lights as you wrap your tinsel so they aren't hidden.

Secure your tinsel and use the excess to hang it up on your door at the desired length. Then turn your lights on and enjoy.

Fall Light Decorations

Fall is one of my all time favorite seasons. The leaves changing, the weather starting to cool off and pumpkins are everywhere. One of the most fun parts of fall is the decor. There are so many options for fall decorations but have you thought about how you would light up your Autumn decorations? Well, we have.

Brown wire mini lights are a wonderful option during the fall months. Wrap a strand of brown wire lights in you centerpieces or in fun fall leaf garland. These lights will blend perfectly with your decor and will give you table or mantle a nice glow.

Brown wire mini lights come in 3 and 4 inch spacing with bulb counts of 20, 50 and 100. The 20 count will be great for use in centerpieces or a tablescape. They are short with no end connector. This way it won't overwhelm your arrangement. The 50 and 100 bulb counts are great for garland and larger scale decorations. You will have plenty of ambient light from your fall mini lights.

Flicker flame bulbs are another fun and festive option for fall decor. You can use them in you garland or standing alone next to fall floral arrangements or group them in the middle of a table for a centerpiece. These have a very realistic flicker just like the flame from a candle. But with these lights you won;t have to worry about anything catching on fire or endangering kids or pets with an open flame. You can just plug them in and forget about them. Perfect for soft lighting on chilly fall nights.

You just have to be creative and these fall lighting option can a long way. We hope you have a fun and festive fall season.

Speed Shingle Tabs

We are so proud to offer a selection of USA made light clips to our customers. But we would like to tell you a little more a specific type of clip that is perfect for outdoor decorating, especially along a roof line.

Shingle speed tabs are a wonderful tool when you want to line your roof with lights during the holidays. These tabs can be used on almost any roof types; metal, tile, wood, composition. Shingle speed tabs are made with UV stabilized poly so they won't be worn down from sunlight. Also, they are made with increased rigidity, so there will be no harm from snow and ice. These clips will last for quite a long time in even the most unpredictable climates.

Installation with Speed Shingle Tabs is also much quicker than with some other clips. With these you can install a fully assembled light string. This will save a lot of time while decorating for the holidays.

These light clips will also accommodate for C7 and C9 light strings, both LED and incandescent. This means that any of the lights you have always been using for you home decorating can still be used. Big money saver.

For flat roofs, mostly with commercial buildings, there is the Flat Roof Adapter. These will help attach the speed shingle tabs a flat surface roof. These can be affixed to the flat surface with either screws or adhesive.

These will work for any decorating project on a home or business. And they are all made right here in the USA.

11S14 Patio Lights at All American Christmas Co.

All American Christmas Co. has carried "Globe" Patio lights for many years but as the popularity of using these decidedly old school lights grows we've chosen to start carrying the classic style S14 Patio Lights. S14 are just as common for patio lights as their rounder counterparts but have a few benefits over their globe cousins. They are an 11 watt bulb with E-27 Medium Base, they have the circular style filament for traditional appeal that is rated for approximately 8,000 hours.

These new patio lights come in most common transparent colors, a satin frosted white, and a handful of ceramic (opaque) colors. Since they are all medium base (same as a house hold light bulb) they require our larger commercial light line, like our Molded Commercial Light Strings. Even though these S14 bulbs are in our patio lights section they are popular for many uses, a lot of sign companies use them to light/outline signs, they are great for hanging across streets to get a European look, and they are incredibly popular for lighting up weddings!

Check out our Patio Lights page to see all the great S14 and Globe bulbs available.

Icicle Christmas Lights

Icicle lights, one of the easiest and most commonly used ways to decorate a home or business during the holiday season. Hang them along a roof line or gutter and you instantly have holiday cheer surrounding you. These are an old faithful in the Christmas light world, but why not check out all the new options that have come out in the last few years.

There will always be the traditional mini light icicles. These come in 100 and 150 light counts with a variety of colors. But these fun and festive lights also come with a few other options. We offer dripping, twinkling and color changing icicle lights. Some people like these because it gives you a look of dripping ice or falling snow from the roof line.

Another option that might be a good a choice for businesses are the commercial icicle lights. These are a heavier duty set with tougher wire, 20,000+ hours of life and you can connect 10 sets end to end. This would be useful if you were trying to cover a larger building for the holidays.

Another option is the popular LED icicle lights.A lot of people have switched over many of their holiday decorations for LED lights over the last few years. One thing people might not think to change is their outdoor icicle lights. But this could be a big money saver around the holidays, especially if you have them on all the time. There really isn't a lot of options for LED icicle lights. They offer two light counts, and three to four color choices. But even with the limited options, there really is something to fit every one's taste.
